A BIT ABOUT ME

My name is Lindsay Booth and I live in the wonderful village of Box close to the city of Bath. After many years working in graphic design I decided to retrain as an upholsterer, an equally creative yet more physical profession. I enjoy working with my hands, using a variety of materials and techniques to breathe new life into a chair or sofa.

I spent four years studying the craft of upholstery at The London Metropolitan University, previously known as the London School of Furniture. In 2014 I was awarded First Prize by the Worshipful Company of Upholders for traditionally reupholstering this Ernest Race DA2 chair. In 2016 I gained my Diploma in upholstery from the Association of Master Upholsterers and Soft Furnishers.

After leaving London Met I co-founded The London Upholstery House where I happily upholstered a wide range of both commercial and domestic furniture before our move to Box.
